Top Testosterone Boosters on the Market

Let’s face it. Your testosterone levels make or break the amount of gains you make in the gym.

Some guys have a lot of it, others not so much.

And if you’ve been training hard, but not packing on the pounds, a T-Booster may be just what you need.

Building-a-Bodybuilder-Back

Natural Testosterone Boosters help by:

  • Improving physique – More muscle mass and faster recovery
  • Increasing strength – Lift more weight for longer
  • Shredding up – Cut down body fat
  • Raising Confidence – Stronger masculinity and higher sex drive

Over the last few months us bro’s at Fit Chief HQ have all been taking one of the most popular and effective testosterone boosters on the market.

We were looking for the T-Booster that contained the most of these ingredients – you can read more about what goes in a T-Booster over here.

We landed on TestoFuel, Prime Male and P6 Black from Cellucor. These are technically the best boosters on the market, and we wanted to see for ourselves how they measured up.

We each took a product for 4 months and looked for the following:

  • Effective Ingredients
  • Good servings amounts
  • The best personal results

1. TestoFuel (Luas’s Review)

tfuel1

A T-Booster from Roar Ambition which seems to only get good reviews online – and after taking it I can really see why.

Self described as an ‘Anabolic Support Complex’ TestoFuel was specially designed for the bodybuilding industry – and is one of the highest performing T-Boosters on the market.

It helped me:

  • Pack on mass – Gain serious muscle
  • Get more vascular – Thicker looking veins
  • Recover Faster – Go the gym more often
  • Have stronger pumps – Feel good and motivated during workouts
  • Enhanced Libido – More energy and a stronger sex drive

Servings

With four doses a day, TestoFuel ensured my T-Levels were constantly topped up to get the best out of the supplement.

Ingredients

All of TestoFuel’s ingredients agree with our findings and it seems like the best option out there to boost gains and T-Levels.

Some of our highlights from TestoFuel include:

  • D-Aspartic Acid – The precursor to testosterone production
  • Vitamin D3 – Natural hormone and a key factor to the testosterone boosting process
  • Oyster Extract – Full of zinc, helps build testosterone and boost libido
  • Korean Red Ginseng – Improves pumps, libido and promotes free T
  • Magnesium – Raises free testosterone

Personal Experience: stars

I had seriously high hopes for TestoFuel – and it didn’t disappoint.

Getting used to the serving amounts was a struggle at first, but I managed to work it into my meal schedule.

In the first month, my energy levels had definitely increased but I wasn’t feeling more ‘masculine’. If I had to guess, the energy had to be down to the extra Vitamin D. We spend a lot of time indoors at the Fit Chief office, so it wouldn’t be surprising if some of us were D3 deficient.

In the second month I started to see improvements in my lifts and some changes in my physique. I noticed I was training for longer and that I was enjoying my workouts more.

In months 3 and 4 I found myself really chasing the pump, and looking forward to a workout. I was becoming more triangular and leaning out around the waist.

My bench press had shot up 15kg, and I had also seen improvements on my squat and deadlift. I found myself powerlifting at the start of my session and then doing pump work to finish off. This really brought out my veins.

At the end of my 4 months on TestoFuel I’d made incredible progress on my lifts, and had really improved my size and strength. I looked better and felt better.

Drawbacks

As I’ve said, the 4 servings take some getting used to, so it’s not the most convenient T-boosters.

It contains Oyster Extract as well, so if you’re a vegetarian this one isn’t for you.

A bottle of TestoFuel will cost you $69; one of the most expensive I’ve comes across and it can only be bought from their website – but you get what you pay for. We bought the 3 month supply and got an extra bottle free, along with a free t-shirt and 2 ebooks on exercise and nutrition. You get discounted prices if you buy in bulk.

Conclusion

Overall, my experience with TestoFuel was great. It was like having noob-gains all over again. This is the kind of supplement someone who is stuck on a plateau would want.

It’s been a while since I originally took TestoFuel but I’m happy to say the benefits are still with me. My muscles have become a lot more defined, and I’ve kept my new lifts – I feel more confident when talking to people and more of ‘man’ in general.

After the first couple of months you start to see rapid improvements in your workouts. Recovery is quicker and the strength gains are dramatic. The main thing to remember is that you have to stick with it. It is totally worth it.

The only problem some people may have with TestoFuel is the price; $69 is steep, but if you’re willing to put the effort in, the results are totally worth it. If you’re a hardcore lifter, this is definitely one you’ll want to look into.

2. Prime Male (Jonny’s Review)

pmale2

Prime Male is a T-Boosting ‘Vitality Complex’ aimed at the over 30’s – and as that’s me I had to be the one to test this baby out.

Testosterone starts to naturally drop after a man hits 30, roughly by around 1% a year. Prime Male not only maintains optimum testosterone levels throughout a man’s older years, but also suppresses extra estrogen that develops.

Using Prime Male I saw:

  • Improved Muscle Mass – More lean muscle growth
  • Weight loss – Cut torso fat
  • Stronger Sex Drive – More ‘active’ with my girlfriend
  • Boosted energy levels – Felt more youthful and alert
  • Greater stamina – Could workout for longer

Servings

Like Luas’s TestoFuel, I was also on 4 servings a day with Prime Male. Although sometimes hard to keep on top of, this is the best way to ensure your T levels stay elevated.

Ingredients

Quite a few ingredients overlapped with our results in the previous article. However, some that were not covered that definitely need an honorable mention.

My top 5 Prime Male ingredients were:

  • D-Aspartic Acid – Not as much as TestoFuel but definitely enough to make a difference
  • Luteolin – Highly potent estrogen suppressant
  • Zinc – Needed for key testosterone production processes
  • Nettle Root – Greatly improves free testosterone levels
  • Vitamin D3 – The wonder hormone of testosterone and stronger bone density

Honorable mentions: Mucuna Pruriens, Boron and Korean Red Ginseng

Personal Experience: 4half

The first month of Prime Male seemed to pass me by. I felt good, but I didn’t know if this was the effect of the supplement, or me undergoing some sort of placebo effect – it was pleasant nonetheless.

In the second month my training in the gym had definitely improved. I felt stronger lifting weights and found that I could go for far longer on the treadmill and the rowing machine.

Not only that, I was noticing the effects at home too. I was waking up earlier and feeling more refreshed, there was less ‘grogginess’ of a morning and I could really focus on the day ahead.

Without getting to vulgar my sex life improved as well. My girlfriend and I were more ‘active’ of an evening it brought more of a spark to our relationship.

Over the four months, I didn’t so much make the ‘mad muscle gains’ like Luas – it was more of a lifestyle overhaul. I felt better in myself, both physically and mentally.

The real ‘feel good’ experiences of Prime Male started to happen around the second month, but became a lot more apparent in the 3rd and 4th month.

Drawbacks

Like TestoFuel the 4 doses a day can get under your skin, however, it’s not bad once you get a schedule.

As it uses gelatin capsules, Prime Male is not recommended for vegetarians. That said, you can always discard the capsule and pour the powder into a beverage.

The product isn’t cheap, however, it does do the job. It’s around $70 from the company website – but you can get discounts on bigger purchases: a 3 month supply includes a free additional fourth box along with a 90 day money-back guarantee.

Conclusion

If you’re over 30 and the daily grind is wearing you down, I strongly suggest you get onto Prime Male. It not only helps you get into shape at the gym, but brings quite a lot of benefit to life in general.

It has been proven to help raise testosterone and suppress estrogen through its solid ingredient profile. And the dosing schedule keeps testosterone levels constantly supplied and elevated.

The price may be an obstacle to some people, but I feel the results far outweigh the cost – Especially if you get the 3 month supply (extra box and 90 day guarantee).

It may not be the best for muscle mass, but in my opinion it’s the best for quality of life.

3. P6 Black (Isaac’s Review)

p6black3

From what we heard about P6 Black, it sounded great.

Not only does this T-Booster claim to help with testosterone levels, but for cognitive function as well. That’s right, it’s part nootropic.

Cellucor’s a highly respected brand – so I was looking forward to seeing what they had to offer, sadly however, I wasn’t as impressed with it as I’d like to be.

Servings

1-2 servings per day, depending on your tolerance. The first serving is recommended to be taken 30mins before a gym session, which is easy to work in.

Although easier, this isn’t the best method. It’s best to have a booster that is taken 3 – 4 times a day, this keeps T-Levels constantly supplied with the nutrients they need.

Ingredients

Out of all P6’s  ingredients, there were only a few that really stood out to me:

  • Vitamin D3
  • D-Aspartic Acid
  • Magnesium
  • Zinc

Although these are great ingredients, I thought they were a bit under-dosed. Compared to TestoFuel and Prime Male, P6 had nowhere near as much D3 or D-Aspartic Acid. And these are both key to the testosterone boosting process.

Personal Experience: 3halfstars

While taking P6 the first thing I noticed was the nootropic side of the T-Booster. I was more focused in the gym and felt energized throughout my session – that said, I didn’t feel much else.

There wasn’t any ‘aggression’ or ‘manliness’ when taking P6, it felt more like a mild pre-workout. As far as I know, there were no long term benefits of taking this T-Booster.

Looking back, my libido may have increased while using this product as morning wood became more of a common occurrence for me. Aside from that, I didn’t notice much other changes over the 4 months.

Drawbacks

There are not enough servings for P6. Instead of 1 – 2 servings, they need 3 – 4.

I can’t really talk about the price for P6 Black as it varies from retailer to retailer. The cheapest I’ve seen it currently is for $160 on Amazon.com for 180 capsules.

In terms of the effects I don’t think I got any serious benefit from P6, and wouldn’t have it again for the price.

Conclusion

Although technically one of the best testosterone boosters on the market due its ingredients, P6 was under-dosed and failed to deliver when it came to boosting testosterone.

It gave me a cognitive kick to get on with my workouts, however I could get the same results for less money with an effective pre-workout.

I didn’t notice any faster muscle gains or major lifestyle changes – some people may report different experience but mine was very underwhelming.

Overall Conclusion

TestoFuel: Best For Muscle Mass
Prime Male: Best For Vitality/Youthfulness
P6 Black: Helps cognition but not much else

After trying all three of these testosterone boosters we found TestoFuel to be the best if your aim is to build muscle.

It’s ingredients and servings make it the best choice for a natural bodybuilder. It contains a lot of Vitamin D3 and D-Aspartic Acid whcih give have been linked to some of the best results for raising testosterone.

Prime Male on the other hand is probably better for older lifters. Jonny’s experience improved his lifestyle more than his lifts, and he’s pretty adamant about buying another course of it.

P6 was the biggest let down, it seemed to be nothing more than a glorified nootropic. Isaac felt an increase in focus but when push came to shove, his lifts didn’t really improve that much.

If you’re currently training in your 20s, we recommend TestoFuel – however, if you’re past 30 Prime Male could be the answer you’re looking for.
